Our love for empanadas began long before our business did. Growing up, the holidays meant the smell of freshly baked empanadas filling the house as my mom sold them to help support the family at Christmas time. My dad carried on that spirit in his own way—hosting gatherings where his famous puff pastry empanadas were always the star of the table.
In 2018, inspired by those memories, I started crafting empanadas of my own. I wanted to capture the warmth of our family tradition while creating something uniquely mine. Since my dad used store-bought puff pastry, I developed my own dough recipe from scratch—one that balances buttery layers with a tender bite. Experimenting with fillings and flavours soon became my creative outlet, blending classic tastes with new combinations.
What began as a family passion grew into something much more when we launched at the Banff Farmers Market in 2019. Today, every empanada we make reflects that same foundation—rooted in tradition, made with care, and driven by the joy of sharing food that brings people together.
